Cow Island
Situated 300 yards to the north of Great Diamond Island in Casco Bay, 26 acre Cow Island is being transformed by Rippleffect into an educational outpost for the regional community. The Maine Coast Heritage Trust holds a conservation easement for Cow Island which protects public access in perpetuity. From May through September, Rippleffect offers adventure programs to area youth, operating primarily from the east side of the island. Click for Map

The Dock (northwest corner) is for the express use of Rippleffect and the Town of Long Island's Fire & Safety Vessel. It must remain available at all times in case of emergency. Thank you.
Our office is located at 40 Commercial Street, Port Terminal, in Portland's Old Port. Take I-95 to I-295 exit 7, which becomes Franklin Street. From the first traffic light, go straight on Franklin Street 1 mi. until you reach Commercial Street. Enter the facility through the Guard House; our office is on the second floor, through the set of doors, on the left.
